We wish to appoint a passionate researcher to undertake advanced applied research in novel millimetre wave vacuum tube theory and experiment.
This is a one year appointment with possible future extension.
Your will work in close collaboration with the research group at Lancaster by using facilities at TWT Fab (https:// wp.lancs.ac.uk/sub-thz-electronics/) at the School of Engineering and with national and international partners to design and realize novel millimetre wave TWTs.
Experience in the use of three dimensional electromagnetic simulators (CST, HFSS), 3D mechanical CAD and knowledge of RF technology is essential.
Substantial experience in vacuum electronic devices is required for the Senior Research Associate position.
We will offer specific training and support in any area that requires it.
You will work in an international environment and collaborate with top institutions and companies.
You should hold a PhD in relevant disciplines or have industry experience preferably in the vacuum electronics sector.
