Nuffield Department for Medicine, Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics, Roosevelt Drive, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7BN Grade 7: £33,309 - £40,927 with a discretionary range to £44,706 per annum

We wish to recruit a highly motivated Research Scientist to join the Oxford Genomics Centre as part of a newly established Innovation section. This section is responsible for the timely and efficient evaluation and implementation of innovative workflows providing genomics solutions in collaboration with Research Teams at the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics (WHG).

You will be involved with planning, coordinating and substantially contribute to the execution of experiments aimed at supporting Innovative developments within WHG. Together with the Head of Innovation, you will be collaborating with group leaders at the Centre, providing expert support to drive the development and implementation of new applications and technologies. In addition, a significant contribution to the preparation of joint grant applications in collaboration with senior Centre PI's will be required to ensure the long-term success of this new OGC section.

The initial focus will be, in line with current trends in High Throughput Genomics, to evaluate and implement newer solutions either working with commercial suppliers or from published protocol.

It is essential that you hold a Master's in a relevant subject. You will have knowledge of the standard and most recent laboratory techniques for genomics applications including epigenetic, single cell and spatial genomics. You must have an adaptable approach to work and a willingness to tackle a variety of tasks and ability to work to deadlines.
