Project title: Using the multiphase optimization strategy (MOST) to optimize an intervention to increase COVID-19 testing for Black and Latino/Hispanic frontline essential workers (Principal Investigator: Marya Gwadz, PhD)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the research team to achieve recruitment, intervention, and assessment targets
  • Hire, train, and supervise interventionists and research assistants
  • Help develop intervention manuals
  • Manage relationships with community partners, Co-Investigators, and consultants
  • Create and modify recruitment plans
  • Monitor progress on the study's timeline
  • Provide daily and weekly reports on recruitment, intervention engagement, and retention
  • Maintain and update the IRB application and forms
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance as needed
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative assessments with participants, as needed
  • Conduct intervention sessions with participants, as needed
  • Present findings at professional conferences
  • Assist with manuscripts for publication
  • Perform other related activities as required
  • Qualifications

    Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Master's or doctoral degree in social work, public health, psychology, nursing, or other social/medical/behavioral sciences
  • Research project coordination experience
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Experience coordinating intervention research and/or conducting social/behavioral interventions
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills
  • Excellent computer and technical skills and the ability to learn new computer programs/applications
  • Experience managing IRB applications
  • Commitment to social justice and racial and socioeconomic equity
  • Interest in COVID-19 testing and vaccination issues
  • Interest in intervention optimization and the multiphase optimization strategy (MOST)
  • High level of attention to detail, flexibility, ability to work on a team, and punctuality
  • Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Exposure to motivational interviewing theory and techniques
  • Health education experience
  • Clinical experience or clinical intervention experience
  • Knowledge of REDCap
  • Experience creating an assessment battery from existing measures
