Oversee day-to-day implementation of an NIH-funded research study with the Vermont Center on Behavior and Health examining a technology-delivered intervention to reduce cardiovascular disease risk in teens with type 1 diabetes and socioeconomic disadvantage. Conduct participant recruitment, identify eligible participants, obtain subject consents, and coordinate and conduct study procedures and administer intervention protocols. Uphold fiscal responsibilities related to participant compensation and purchasing of study- related equipment and supplies. Enter and maintain data collected during the study under the supervision of the principal investigator (PI). Maintain files and records, using discretion regarding sensitive information, and maintain confidentiality within the framework of the University guidelines. Assist as needed with IRB-approved protocols and prepare progress reports, presentations and manuscripts related to the study.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor's degree and one to three years of related experience to include some research experience in psychology or related field. Eperience with Microsoft Office required. Effective interpersonal and organization skills required. Effective reasoning ability both in abstract (e.g., managing multiple goals and responsibilities) and the concrete (e.g., prioritizing multiple simultaneous tasks, managing time independently) required. Ability to work with others as part of a research team required.

Desirable Qualifications

Demonstrated interest in clinical and/or health psychology desirable. Experience or interest in working with youth populations desirable. Interest in one or more of the following: chronic illness self-management, health disparities, technology delivered behavioral interventions, pediatric psychology desirable. Experience with RedCap and SPSS or R desirable. Experience conducting psychological or patient-oriented research, including participant recruitment, data collection, and data storage desirable.

Other Information

The schedule has some flexibility and requires daytime hours and (possibly) periodic evening/weekend availability. Position has funding through July 2023 and a two-year commitment is desired.
