Description

Brandeis University seeks to hire a Research Project Administrator. We are seeking an experienced research administrator to lead recruitment efforts for MRI and PET studies of aging. We are preparing to launch a longitudinal neuroimaging study targeting early detection of Alzheimer's disease, which involves cognitive testing, 2 PET scans and 1 MRI scan both at baseline and at 3 year follow-up. Ideally, this candidate will have substantial human subjects research experience as a full-time research assistant, or masters or PhD student. This leadership position could be a good fit for someone who loves research, wants to maintain a career in research, but is not pursuing a traditional academic research track at this time.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Examples of Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of research assistants to ensure consistent testing procedures and messaging about the study
  • Explaining the goals of the research to potential participants including descriptions of risks and benefits.
  • Performing phone screens and overseeing scheduling
  • Performing neuropsychological assessments.
  • Coordinating advertising efforts (e.g. print, virtual, radio) and community outreach including public research presentations and other promotional events.
  • Skills & Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree plus 1-3 years work experience

    The ideal candidate will be highly organized, will understand the science that motivates the study, will be a clear communicator. Previous experience working with older adult populations is a plus, but is not required.
