Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 523557), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biostatistics or a related discipline, with at least 5 years' clinical and / or laboratory research experience in gynaecological oncology. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua), and experiences in clinical trials and grant management are advantage. They should also be organized, responsible, detail-minded, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team.

The appointee will participate in clinical trials and laboratory projects. He/she will assist in managing research projects and preparing scientific publications, monitoring and preparing grant reports; performing data analysis; providing general administrative and operational support; liaising and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders; and performing other duties as assigned.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salary tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of the basic salary.
