The University of Hull is seeking an experienced and self-motivated professional to support the university's research governance and compliance responsibilities.

The post has been created to cover some of the support provided by the Head of Research Excellence, Governance and Impact during a period of 8 months maternity leave. The post may be an excellent secondment opportunity for someone working at a professional level within a governance / policy related role, seeking to diversify their experience and lead on the development of new initiatives / compliance related matters. A main focus for the role will be promoting research integrity and good practice in the conduct of research, via the development and implementation of policies and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

The role itself is varied and it is not expected that applicants will have substantial experience in all areas. Instead, the successful candidate will be required to have a significant level of experience in some areas, and some experience in most areas.

The post holder will report to the Research Excellence Manager and work closely with the Director of Research and Innovation. The post holder will also work closely with, and be supported by, the Research, Governance and Quality Officer.

This is full-time temporary role for a period of 8 months (there is also scope to consider part-time for the right candidate).

Salary: Grade 8 (£46,974 - £54,395)
