Salary: UH8 £42,155 - £44,737 per annum with potential to progress to £53,353 per annum on achieving designated skills and experience
Location: Bishops Square, University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield

Main duties & responsibilities
The post-holder will have line management responsibility for the Research Office Data Administrator and for casual staff on an ad-hoc basis. The ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with people from many disciplines and at all levels of seniority within and outside the university is essential, as is in-depth knowledge and understanding of the practices, processes and procedures required to ensure compliance with regulatory policies in a research setting.
The post-holder will act as a university specialist in matters relating to research governance, integrity and ethics, research sponsorship, and the management of research information through the Research Information System (RIS). In addition, they will provide support for the University's submission to the next Research Excellence Framework (REF).
Skills and experience
The post-holder will have proven experience at an appropriate level of responsibility of working within a Higher Education Institution or for a funding agency or similar organisation and have experience of developing practical guidance and/or systems to assess and mitigate compliance and/or assurance and/or governance risks. The ability to network, build and maintain strong internal and external relationships is essential, as are excellent planning and prioritisation skills. Proven experience and ability to engage and motivate colleagues is also essential.
Minimum of a Degree or equivalent level qualification or proven experience at an appropriate level. Postgraduate qualification is desirable.
