Applications are open for one Research Fellowship, within the framework of project CE2COAST/IST-ID (JPIOCEANS/0002/2019), financed by national funds through FCT/MCTES (PIDDAC)
Workplan: The fellowship holder is expected to provide support to:
Duration: The fellowship will have a duration of 12 months and is expected to start in June 2022. The fellowship contract may be renewed up to a maximum of 15 months of total duration of the fellowship (the project will end on 31/08/2023; if extended, the contract may possibly be renewed until the new project end date). When the academic degree or diploma is awarded during the duration of the fellowship contract, the fellowship may be concluded under the established contractual terms.
It is mandatory to formalize applications with the submission of the following documents: i) B1 Form – Fellowship application (https: // ist- id.pt/concursos/bolsas/ ; ii) Curriculum Vitae; iii) academic degree certificate; iv) Proof of enrollment at a PhD Program; v) motivation letter.

BenefitsMonthly maintenance allowance: According to the values for Research Fellowships awarded by FCT in Portugal (https:// www. fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores ), the amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is 1,144.64 €, with the payment method being an option of the Fellow (Wire Transfer or Cheque). The fellowship holder will be reimbursed for his/her payment of Voluntary Social Security (up to the amount corresponding to the 1st step).
Eligibility criteriaAdmission Requirements: candidates must be enrolled at a PhD. Additionally, candidates should have a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Agronomic Engineering or similar.
Selection processSelection methods: The selection methods will be the following:
Composition of the selection Jury: Chairman: Professor Marcos Mateus; Voting Members: Associate Professor Ramiro Neves and Researcher Lígia Pinto.
Announcement/ notification of the results: The final evaluation results will be communicated to all applicants by email.
Deadlines and procedures of complaint and appeal. A complaint may be lodged from the final decision within 15 working days, or an appeal to the Executive Board of IST-ID within 30 working days, both counted from the respective notification

Workplace: The work will be developed in the MARETEC/LARSyS Research Unit of Instituto Superior Técnico, under the scientific supervision of Professor Marcos Mateus.
