About This Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to engage in research to
further their expertise and growing research profile to achieve national
recognition in their discipline. At this level it is expected that in
incumbent will efficiently manage service and engagement roles and activities.
The Single Molecule Neuroscience laboratory directed by Prof. Frederic Meunier
is seeking a post-doctoral fellow to work on projects supported by the NHMRC
and ARC to investigate the spatial and temporal nanoscale clustering of
receptors in neurons in the context of health and disease.
Applicants must have obtained a Ph.D in Neuroscience, Cell Biology or
Biophysics. Strong experience in single-molecule imaging and analysis are
essential (PALM, STORM, sptPALM, uPAINT, PAINT etc). The applicant should
have plenty of experience in primary tissue culture and molecular biology.
Knowledge of the generation and application of small antibodies for super-
resolution microscopy. Experience with phage display is a plus.
Key responsibilities include:
Conduct research and experiments toward understanding neuronal
communication and plasticity in neurons and neurosecretory cells.

PhD in the discipline of Neuroscience, Cell Biology or Biophysics.
Extensive experience with single molecule super-resolutions approaches
which should be reflected as top publications in the field;

What We Can Offer
This is a Full-time, 100% FTE Fixed-term position for 3 years at Academic
The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $101,533.66 to
$120,570.86 plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the
range $118,794.38 to $141,067.91 per annum.
