building is the largest and best equipped facility for patient treatment,
dental education and research in Australasia.
From January 2017, the Oral Health Alliance (OHA) integrated the
activities of Metro North Hospital and Health Service Oral Health Services
(MNHHS) and the UQ School of Dentistry to establish world-class activities
in clinical teaching, research and service provision in oral health.
About This Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a Research Fellow to engage in a program of
research in the Herston Biofabrication Institute (HBI) and the UQ School of
Dentistry, as part of a team to achieve national recognition in the area of
orofacial regeneration and reconstruction.
This position will undertake a research program that focusses on resorbable
metals and tissue biofabrication and will act as a liaison between the UQ
School of Dentistry, Herston Biofabrication Institute, research collaborators,
industry partners and the postgraduate student cohort.

This position is located at our Herston Campus, UQ's core campus for clinical
health teaching and research.
Our Ideal Candidate
To be successful in the position, you will have completed a PhD in a relevant
field, partnered with expertise in bio-fabrication and regenerative medicine
utilising resorbable metals and/or polymers. You will have a growing profile
in research in the areas of orofacial regeneration and reconstruction,
biomedical engineering and/or biomaterial science.
You will also have a developing reputation and track record of publications in
reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences. You will have
evidence of successfully seeking, obtaining and managing external research
funding. You will also have experience with HDR supervision and holding
meaningful internal service roles in conjunction with active contributions to

This is a full-time fixed term position for 4 years at Academic Level B.
The full time equivalent base salary will be in the range $99,542 - $ 118,206,
plus super of up to 17%. The total package will be in the range $116,464 -
