Duties and responsibilities
Carrying out cutting edge research in Computational Imaging (eg.
fluorescence microscopy, multimodal imaging, holography, quantitative
phase imaging, speckle metrology and incoherent Imaging).
Building upon and expanding on existing competences in UTartu, cooperating
with other research teams.
Attending scientific conferences and presenting research results.
Turning fundamental research into applicable solutions and cooperating
Teaching and improving existing curricula in UTartu by introducing new
courses in photonics and imaging technologies.
Supervising post-docs and PhD students.
Writing proposals and attracting funding on national, European, and
Ensuring sufficient outreach of the team to make research understandable
to the general public, as well as to industry and policy makers.

PhD in Physics or in a similar field or an equivalent qualification with a
background in Photonics or Computational Imaging.

Internationally renown research in the field of photonics, image
processing, computer science or light-based imaging techniques, that
postdoctoral experience in an R&D institution;
publications in high impact journals, including publications as lead author.
High proficiency in research planning and management.
Proven track of raising private or public research funding.
Teaching and supervising experience at postgraduate and doctoral levels.

High Resolution) ERA Chair project funded by H2020 (grant no 857627). The
work will be carried out in the newly established CIPHR ERA research group
under the leadership of Vijayakumar Anand at the Institute of Physics,
