  • The Opportunity

    Join a pioneering research team as a Research Fellow, addressing one of the most prevalent musculoskeletal issues in Australia. This position will play a crucial role in a ground-breaking randomized controlled trial designed to evaluate the effectiveness of scalable internet-based interventions for rotator cuff-related shoulder pain and will work on a series of studies, gaining hands-on experience with diverse research methodologies alongside an experienced team of clinical researchers. Your work will contribute significantly to advancing primary care solutions and improving patient outcomes, particularly for those in rural and remote areas. This position is an exciting opportunity to join our team for an initial 3 year term, with a potential extension of up to 2 years.

    The Research Fellow will be involved in both independent and team-based research, producing conference and seminar papers and publications, including preparing and submitting research proposals to external funding bodies. The position involves coordinating various research projects, ensuring seamless collaboration among multiple stakeholders and adherence to project timelines. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in clinical research methodologies related to primary care and musculoskeletal conditions, providing a platform to enhance your expertise in a supportive and dynamic environment.

    We seek candidates with a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent research experience. Essential skills also include demonstrated statistical analysis and manuscript preparation, along with a proven track record of refereed research publications. Effective project management skills and the ability to coordinate complex research initiatives are also crucial.
