Job description

We are looking for world class researchers with a passion for accessible transport to join an exciting new national initiative.

The National Transport Design Centre (NTDC) at Coventry University was launched in 2017 and is all about changing the way the world moves! We employ state-of-the-art visualisation and simulation techniques, and design tools to address future mobility challenges from bicycles, through autonomous cars to eVTOL aircraft. One of our main strengths is user-centred design and evaluation – understanding that the user experience is what drives the trust and engagement of all users of innovative transport. NTDC also works closely with industry, presenting excellent opportunities for collaboration and the development of impactful research. We have a team of psychologists, human factors experts, industrial and automotive designers alongside engineers and experts in human systems integration. See out LinkedIn pages at https: // www. linkedin.com/company/ntdc/.

We have already made great strides into the design of future mobility and we are now looking to grow this team and thereby extend the scope and capability of our research in this exciting and innovative area. Specifically for this post we are looking for people with experience in Human Factors / Design Ergonomics and an interest in accessible transport.

As a successful candidate, you will undertake interesting and exciting applied research projects in the field of accessible transport. You will also disseminate research outputs and develop external networks nationally and internationally.

In return we will provide a great range of benefits which include an attractive pension scheme, generous holiday allocation, some fantastic savings on a wide range of products and services, and excellent learning and development opportunities.

If you would like to be a part of the development and growth of this important initiative and make a unique contribution to the UK's innovation in this developing area, apply now.
