We have a Research Fellow position available to join our School of Computing and Engineering and the Built Environment at Edinburgh Napier University to work on an externally funded project, Future Flyer 3 A ‘Day-in-the-life-of' HEART funded by the Innovative UK.
You will participate in and contribute research for the project, relating to public perceptions towards hydrogen electric and automated aviation, and the passenger experience of the aircraft boarding and terminal design.

Additionally, the University's research power metric rocketed from 250 to 718, making Edinburgh Napier the top ranking Scottish modern university for both research power and research impact.
The University's improved research power rating will now see our research funding increase as we take significant strides to grow our reputation as a research-focused institution as well as a teaching one. You will have the opportunity to use your research background and experience to contribute to the development of the project, including carrying out data collection, curating existing literature and analysing the data collected through advanced qualitative and quantitative methods.
You will also be involved with and conduct experimental trials designs and interaction with the engineering Digital twin of the airport services.
This role offers ample networking and collaboration opportunities including the opportunity to travel within and outside the UK to attend workshops, focus groups, stakeholder and public interviews, observational work, and project meetings.
