    The Opportunity

Are you ready to shape the future of policy research? Join us as a post- doctoral fellow at Monash University and immerse yourself in ground-breaking projects. As a key collaborator, you'll work closely with esteemed academic staff, harnessing the power of ABS (Australian Bureau of Statistics) administrative micro data products. Dive into Income Tax Return Data, DOMINO (government transfers), BLADE (firm-level data), micro-level Census data, and Pharmaceutical Benefits. Your journey here will be dynamic, focusing on critical issues like job transitions, the gender wage gap, childcare accessibility, health equity, and environmental justice. Collaborate, innovate, and leave your mark as you co-author transformative research. Plus, you'll have the autonomy for your complementary studies, supported by our access to ABS data sources. Don't just follow the trends; set them with Monash University.

    About You

As a Research Fellow in Economics at Monash University, you'll need a doctoral qualification in Economics or a closely related field. Tech-savvy and adaptable, you'll be well versed in statistical software like Stata, R, or Python, and we'll also nurture your appetite for learning new packages or languages. Your econometric prowess is your superpower – from panel data techniques to instrumental variable estimators and choice models, you're the expert we need. If you bring knowledge of structural econometrics and machine learning to the table that's a big plus but also having familiarity with Australian Administrative Data would make you the complete package. Join us, and let's shape the future together.
