Is The Job Related To Staff Position Within A Research
We are looking for a Research Engineer / Scientist excited about multi-omics
technologies (spatial transcriptomics, single cell omics) aiming at
resolving the molecular mechanisms of human diseases. The successful candidate
will take in charge of omics experiments to perform research on disease
triggers discovery and translational science for treatment of neuromuscular
diseases. We expect that targeted therapy approaches for human clinical
investigation will emerge from these efforts.
This is a full-time position with an initial contract for one year, starting
from October 2021.
Context and location :
The position will be held in the Biology of the Neuromuscular Diseases
laboratory at Institut Mondor in Créteil, France. The laboratory is composed
of more than 100 scientists and clinicians from 9 different nationalities. The
team is located at the medical faculty in the Mondor campus and is in direct
proximity to both Paris and nature (metro line 8, 25 min from Place de la
Nation, 15 min from Vincennes woods).
Qualifications and skills :
Ph.D. degree in the field of molecular biology, developmental biology,
immunology or similar field.
Demonstrated expertise in molecular biology (transcriptomics, genomic
preparations, chromatin assays), and cell biology (cell and/or nucleii
preparation). Candidates with previous expertise in single cell or
spatial transcriptomics techniques will receive very high consideration.
Previous experience or interest in tissue preparation, histology and in
employing imaging tools as a method to observe histological features will
be a plus.
Enthusiastic candidates with a Master degree, engineering school
diploma or equivalent and a relevant demonstrated expertise are also
encouraged to apply.
We are looking for a rigorous, positive and self-motivated scientist with good
verbal and written communication skills. Working level of English is
mandatory, French knowledge is optional.
