About This Opportunity
We are seeking a Research Development Officer based within the School of Political Science and International Studies, to support staff and assist with capitalising on opportunities for competitive research grants from diverse, non-traditional funding sources, and with strengthening our research partnerships. This position will be responsible for identifying relevant non- traditional research funding opportunities, supporting the development of long-term strategic research partnerships, developing capacity statements in our areas of strength, working directly with staff to build capacity and knowledge, and assisting the School to develop our outward-facing profile to encourage deeper and more diverse research partnerships. The Research Development Officer must possess excellent relationship building skills, and strong communication and writing skills, coupled with a thorough knowledge of the research funding environment. The position reports to the Head of School.

This is a part-time (80%), fixed term position for up to 6 months.
At HEW level 7, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $93,254 - $101,680, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $109,107 - $118,966 annually.
