Job description

Do you have experience in project management? Are you interested in providing hand-on support to world class researchers? Are you keen on working within a high-quality collaborative research focused environment?

Coventry University's ‘Excellence with Impact' research strategy takes the University forward by strengthening its research activities and capabilities through various Research Institutes and Research Centres and builds on its strengths as a business facing institution.

The Research Delivery Support Officer – a central resource available to Research Institutes plays a vital contribution to realising the research ambitions of Coventry University by supporting leading researchers to deliver high quality research with impact.

The position sits within Research Delivery Support, one of seven closely linked teams comprising Research Services that coordinate research support across the University, the other teams being: research quality; research systems; research finance and compliance; research funding and development, research ethics and governance and research operations.

The post-holder will provide hands-on delivery support to high/medium risk externally funded projects across the project lifecycle, alongside supporting some pre-award activities. This is an exciting opportunity to actively engage in supporting leading researchers in meeting delivery goals and objectives and managing projects to support the delivery of the University Research Strategy. You will be expected to undertake and facilitate project management interventions with specific responsibility for project planning, monitoring and support for project execution from start to finish.
