The University of Hull is the fourteenth oldest university in England; as an internationally engaged, civic institution this strong history is paired with a vibrant and modern outlook. Our colleagues, students and partners have developed a renewed, ambitious and distinctive vision – to shape a fairer, brighter, carbon-neutral future for all and our largest faculty (the Faculty of Health Sciences) continues to innovatively expand and develop at the University of Hull and the Faculty Research Office is now seeking to appoint a Research Officer / Coordinator.

The Faculty comprises five schools: School of Nursing and Midwifery, School of Psychology and Social Work, School of Sports, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences, School of Paramedical, Peri-Operative and Advanced Practice and the Hull York Medical School which includes the Centre for Biomedicine. The Faculty also contains Research Institutes together with the Hull Health Trials Unit (HHTU) and major research facilities like the Positron Emission Tomography Centre (PETRC).

The post holder will take the lead with Faculty Research coordination activities across the Faculty and play a key role in ensuring these activities and tasks are coordinated and delivered in a managed manner in line with the needs and demands of the research and academic calendar. The ability to demonstrate their administrative experience and to work with strict deadlines is essential, alongside a real desire to embed themselves into the faculty.

This role involves working in a fast-moving environment. The ability to work flexibly with a strong sense of team work and excellent customer service is important, as is experience in the use of a variety of IT applications.

The University of Hull offers exciting career opportunities alongside a wide range of staff benefits, including a generous annual leave allowance, annual increments until you reach the top of your Band, access to a competitive pension scheme with employer contributions and the opportunity to work an agile working pattern on a campus set in beautiful grounds with great facilities.
