Lead, Innovate and Collaborate on Research Data Management 

 

About the position
As a Research Data Librarian, you will provide leadership, direction and expert technical services, including research data management and data curation, information discovery, visualization, research computing and scholarly communication. You’ll be responsible for facilitating access to research related systems, software, training and assistance.

 

About you
To be successful you will possess 

  • A degree in relevant field with at least 4 years' experience in research, library and information management or information technology, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
  • Experience with integrated information management systems and the design of associated metadata management, processes and workflow.
  • High level analytical, research, communication and report writing skills.
  • Knowledge of data management plans and grant requirements, open access concepts, copyright & licenses and scholarly communication principles.
  • Knowledge of best practices supporting the research communication lifecycle, including systems, tools, workflows and training.
  • Experience with or knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods, research computing, and research data management and curation.
  • Experience with or knowledge of open science, data literacy, data management, open access, and scholarly

Remuneration 
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 7. The base salary will be in the range $86,390 to $94,829 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $101,076 to $110,949 per annum including 17% superannuation.
