Research Data Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Faculty of Medicine and Health
for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join a world-leading
clinical research group. Based at Chapel Allerton Hospital this post is
available immediately for a fixed term of one year, with the possibility of
extension dependent on funding.
We are seeking to appoint a talented and able Research Data Analyst to work
with the Musculoskeletal Diseases Research Group within the Institute of
Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine. A large part of the post will involve
analysis of a 5000 patient longitudinal cohort dataset, analysis of multiple
smaller datasets and supporting preparation of peer-reviewed manuscripts.
The successful candidate will have a MSc or PhD or equivalent in a relevant
subject area, with a proven record in writing for publication. They will have
experience of analysing large datasets; a thorough understanding of
statistical principles and working experience of statistical techniques (e.g.
multilevel modelling, propensity score analysis, imputation of missing data),
with excellent IT skills and experience of statistical packages such as Stata.
We currently have funding secured for this post for a fixed term of one year.
It is our intention to apply for additional funding for the post at the midway
point, which would support an extension if successful.
