The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the UNT System College of Pharmacy is located at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) in Fort Worth, ranked among the top 50 medical schools for seven consecutive years, the UNTHSC is a 33-acre graduate school located in the city's Cultural District with a local economic impact of $500 million annually. The UNT System College of Pharmacy is the first pharmacy school in Texas located on an academic health science center campus.
Position Overview
The Pharmaceutical Sciences Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Research Associate to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: Manage the UNTSCP Pharmaceutical Analysis Core Lab on a daily basis to ensure efficient functioning. Maintain regulatory compliance, equipment functionality, cleanliness and organization in the core labs. Keep supplies stocked by negotiating, ordering, and receiving of all consumable supplies. Manage and monitor instrument usage. Provide instrument training to approved core lab users. Communicate laboratory policies and procedures to new core lab users. Document and maintain equipment, chemical and consumables inventories for the core lab. Procure equipment, supplies, maintenance contracts and repair services as needed. Arrange for proper collection and disposal of hazardous waste. Provide sample analysis as a fee-for-service for internal and external clients utilizing core lab instrumentation following approved standard operating procedures and accurately collect, document and analyze data, and to generate reports.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: Degree in Chemistry or chemistry-related field with experience in analytical chemistry. Experience in operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment including TOF LC/MS, QQQ LC/MS and NMR.
