Under general guidance, the Research associate will work closely with PI to provide technical support in multi-project oriented labs. Will perform routine and complex laboratory procedures with guidance by PI or other laboratory personnel. Required to keep appropriate experimental records and documentation. May be requested by PI to take on specific supervisory activities, coordinating all lab activities with an emphasis on technical expertise. May oversee budgetary/financial compliance and ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
BS degree in life sciences is required, Several years of demonstrated experience with molecular cloning, molecular biology techniques (e.g. isolation of DNA/RNA/protein), molecular analysis of biomolecules (e.g. gel electrophoresis, PCR, immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation), mammalian cell culture techniques. Willingness to work with mice is required.
