We are looking for a skilled Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on an innovative research project that has been funded through Corteva Agriscience. This intersectoral project looks to determine the effect of commercial bioproducts on cell membranes to mitigate their toxicity. The work is a collaboration between the School of Biosciences and an industrial partner so an interdisciplinary/intersectoral mindset is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in cell membrane biochemistry and/or membrane models. Techniques will focus on biochemical and biophysical assays of lipid composition and membrane disruption. An ability to learn new techniques quickly is highly desirable and full training will be given as needed. Experience of driving research projects on a day-to-day basis is required.

Candidates who have recently submitted their PhD and are awaiting award will be considered.

The post is available for a fixed term of 1 year.
