The Engineering Geology group at the Institute of Applied Geosciences at TU Darmstadt is looking for a

The employment is limited to three years and can start as soon as possible.

You will work within the framework of the project „Stress prediction – quantification and reduction of uncertainties ofgeomechanical-numerical subsurface models (SQuaRe)", funded by the Bundesministerium für Umwelt, Naturschutz, nukleareSicherheit und Verbraucherschutz (BMUV). The project will be carried out in cooperation with partners from RWTH Aachenand Deutschen Geoforschungszentrum (GFZ) Potsdam. Work at TU Darmstadt aims on the quantification of uncertainties insubsurface stresses calculated by geomechanical models resulting from uncertainties in material parameters, boundary andinitial conditons as well as discretization.

The fulfillment of the duties likewise enables the scientific qualifications of the candidate. Opportunity for further qualification (habilitation) is given.
