Research Associate on Concurrent Theory and Programming

Computer Science - Wolfson Building, Parks Road, Oxford

We are looking for a researcher to work on the UKRI-funded project. The aim of the project is to develop the theory and applications for session types. A key objective is to investigate the relationship between session types and automata theories and apply this relationship to practical applications.

You will hold or be close to obtaining a PhD in Computer Science (or close to completion) or a related discipline with relevant experience. You will have a strong publication record and familiarity with the existing literature and research in the field, as witnessed by published peer-reviewed work (according to your experience) and be willing to collaborate with others and work effectively as a member of a team. Excellent communication skills are also required, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings.

This post is a full time, fixed term contract for two years with a potential extension to three years.
