Research Associate (Fixed Term)

A position exists for a 6-month Research Associate position in Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics, University of Cambridge. The position will be funded by the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. The post holder will work within the Algebraic Geometry group of Dr Dhruv Ranganathan.

Duties include developing and conducting individual and collaborative research objectives, proposals and projects. The post holder will be encouraged to pursue their own research objectives in parallel with those of the group. You may be asked to provide mentorship for PhD and master's students within the group, and plan and deliver seminars on your research area.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Mathematics and experience in Algebraic Geometry and nearby areas.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 6 months in the first instance.
