We would like to appoint a postdoctoral researcher in seismology at the
University of Cambridge for a fixed term of 24 months. The project will
include the development and application of methods for broadband seismic
signal processing, waveform analysis, waveform inversion and seismic
tomography. The imaging targets are both at the local scale, where high-
frequency ambient noise will be used, and at the global scale, where
teleseismic waveform tomography will be performed.
The successful candidate must have a PhD in seismology or a related field and
have relevant post-PhD research experience. We are looking for a candidate
with substantial computing and programming experience, experience in the
development and application of methods for signal processing, modelling and
inversion of seismic data and seismic tomography. The successful applicant
will have a strong publication record, good communication skills and be able
to take up the appointment by August 2021.
