Job Summary

The Sanders-Brown Center on Aging Research Clinic conducts cognitive assessments on over 1200 research participants annually. The number of clinical trials being conducted at the clinic is increasing. The Research Associate Clinical role will be integral in regards to coordination and supervision of responsibilities that allow the organizational structure of the clinic to expand and meet existing research commitment goals. Clinical responsibilities are extensive including the assessment of research participants, data collection, processing of neuropsychological test data, assisting the faculty neuropsychologist in the review of cognitive data, and weekly consensus meeting planning. We stress teamwork among our staff that allows us to lead the field in our search for cures for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias so that in the future we can guarantee healthy brain aging for all those we serve.

Given the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to protect patient, employee, and visitor safety, UK HealthCare is requiring all employees to comply with the COVID-19 vaccination policy prior to starting employment. Therefore, as of September 15, 2021, UK HealthCare requires all employees, including new hires prior to their first day of employment, to submit appropriate documentation showing, i) completion of the first vaccination against COVID-19, or ii) completion of the full vaccination series against COVID-19 (i.e., two weeks past completing their complete COVID-19 vaccination series), or iii) approved exemption (medical contraindications or a sincerely held religious belief) through the formal vaccine exemption process from the COVID-19 vaccination requirement. For those employees who have completed the first vaccination against COVID-19 prior to their first day of employment, the second vaccination (if applicable) must be completed following the vaccination recommended schedule to be considered fully vaccinated.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

MS office skills including Word and Excel

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience

Two years experience in clinical research with the geriatric population, preferably those with memory disorders such as Alzheimer's disease. Driver's license preferred to transport participant
