The Research Assistant will conduct research in computational chemistry under the direction of David Minh. Moreover, the assistant will write a scientific journal article and mentor a high school student.

COMMUNICATIONS

The Research Assistant will meet with their supervisor regularly and mentor a high school student in the summer scholars program. This role requires strong verbal communication skills as you will be required to write a scientific journal srticle.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

B.S. and M.S. in applied mathematics or related field.

Coauthor of at least one peer reviewed journal article.

Coursework in computational biochemistry (Chem 456 or equvilanct)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency using Python for data analysis and visualization and LaTex for writing scientific journal articles. Strong verbal communication skills to discuss projects with mentor and mentee.
