Department of Experimental Psychology, Radclifffe Observatory Quarter
Candidates are invited to apply for a Research Assistant position in the NIHR Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre.
The post-holder will support the development and maintenance of a large national network of research-ready primary and secondary schools. The aim of the network is to facilitate mental health research with children and young people.
There are two posts available (a) full-time (although 80% FTE would be considered) and (b) part-time 60% FTE (again flexibility with these hours would be considered). Both posts are fixed term for 35 months to 30 November 2025, starting in January 2023. On your application, please state which post you would be interested in.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in psychology or education and have some experience in a relevant area such as psychology, mental health or education. They will possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the disciplines of youth mental health and education to support the development and maintenance of a network of ‘research ready' primary and secondary school. Their previous experience of working with school staff will enable them to develop and maintain strong working relationships with schools. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential along with strong planning and organisational skills.
These roles will require travel within the UK to visits school sites and there may be times when it is necessary to work some irregular hours.
