About This Role:

The Department of Applied Human Sciences, within the College of Health and Human Sciences, is seeking a Research Assistant to join their work on a USDA-funded Family Advocacy Program study at MacDill A ir Force Base, Florida. This position will serve as the on-site administrator of the sponsored project to facilitate daily implementation of the research project by promoting the program, selecting research participants, designing and implementing database information, and collaborating with the researchers at Kansas State University, Northern Illinois University, and MacDill Air Force Base. This position reports to the sponsored project's principal investigator.

In addition, the college received approval from the Kansas Board of Regents to begin a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program. The College enrolls roughly 2,800 students (graduate and undergraduate) and employs more than 115 full-time faculty members in teaching, research, and Extension positions (https: // www. hhs.k-state.edu/). What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, human ecology, or business-related field
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • General knowledge of administration and research methodology at academic institutions
  • Experience in conducting research
  • Knowledge of domestic violence
  • Demonstrated ability to work with confidential materials
  • Computer competency
  • Other Requirements:
