The Department of Economics belongs to the Faculty of Social Sciences at Stockholm University and employs around 90 workers. We conduct top-level research and provide education in Economics with the help of a well- functioning administration. We are an international and dynamic department physically located at the center of campus in Frescati, north of the Stockholm city center.
Main responsibilities The Department of Economics at Stockholm University is looking to hire a full-time predoctoral research fellow for a period of one year to start in September 2023 the latest.
The research fellow will support and collaborate on a series of new and ongoing projects within Macroeconomics and Finance, with a particular focus on household finance. These projects involve a team of researchers: Associate Professor Roine Vestman (Department of Economics, Stockholm U) and Ph.D. students at Stockholm University and University of California Los Angeles. The research projects leverage large administrative datasets and empirical methods from the research frontier.
The successful applicant will receive mentoring from the above-mentioned group. Research fellows are physically based at the Department of Economics at Stockholm University, Sweden, and are working closely with the team members. Prior research fellows at the Department of Economics have gone on to attend top-tier PhD programs in Economics.

Terms of employment This is a full-time position for 12 months with a flexible starting date, starting in September 2023 the latest. Salaries at Stockholm University are individually determined.
