The Research Assistant Professor will work in an interdisciplinary team that will develop new composite galvanic coatings with increased corrosion and wear resistance. Applicant will be responsible for independent research, cooperation with other team members, as well as cooperation with other scientific entities or commercial companies. Therefore, the candidate is required to have an outstanding knowledge and expertise in the field of chemical and electrochemical composite nickel coatings and characterization of microstructure, nanohardness, adhesion, corrosion and wear resistance.
This position is focused on cross-disciplinary research activities in the field of nickel composite galvanic coatings. The successful candidate is expected to characterize microstructure, nanohardness, adhesion, corrosion and wear resistance of chemical and electrochemical composite coatings using advanced techniques which make possible obtaining detailed description of the proceeding wear and corrosion mechanism. That person will be responsible for writing projects aimed at obtaining funds from domestic and European Union funds, writing scientific articles for Polish and foreign journals. Also, the person employed in this position will be involved in supervising BSc and MSc students. It is desired that the candidate will strengthen the existing research profile of the Department and contribute to strengthen the national and international collaboration in academia and industry.Contact Information
