Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Neurology in the Biological Sciences Division is searching for a Research Assistant Professor whose primary activity will be academic research in association with a faculty member or team. The appointee will develop their own research as well as contribute to research projects in the field of neuroinformatics and join an outstanding group of researchers who are involved in neuroscience research. Faculty within the Department have numerous research projects in the areas of cerebrovascular disease, neurocritical care and traumatic brain injury, as well as neuroimaging and brain network analysis. In addition to applicants with knowledge of advanced statistics, we especially welcome those with expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.

Applicants must: 1) have a doctoral degree or equivalent in Biological or Biomedical Sciences or related disciplines, and 2) have completed postdoctoral training prior to the start of employment. Assessment of applications will consider publication record as well as potential to obtain extramural funding.
