Normal hours are between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday but may work early morning/weekend/evening hours as may be necessary depending on departmental needs.

Pay Rate 15.00 Minimum Experience/Education

Bachelor's degree or higher preferred

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:

• Must possess an undergraduate degree in life sciences or related fields and have 1-2 years of experience in a research lab

• Preference will be given to candidates with prior mouse handling experience

• Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work

Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Assistant will conduct technical duties in a cancer research lab; the candidate will be expected to:

• Maintain and genotype transgenic mouse colonies • Generate tumor models for immunotherapy • Aid senior lab members and graduate students with ongoing experiments • Responsible for ordering and maintaining lab supplies

Other Work/Responsibilities

• Excellent oral and written communications skills, combined with a strong customer service orientation are essential

• Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task

• Other duties and responsibilities based on departmental needs
