We are looking for a research assistant in the field of human-automation collaboration, with air traffic management as the main application area.

Your future work assignments Your tasks will consist will consist mainly of data collection and analysis, but also include research communication. Data collection and analysis can include both qualitative and quantitative data, including preparation of data for analysis. We use technology such as eye tracking measurement, estimation scales, video recording. The work may include certain trips within Sweden, primarily for data collection at air traffic control centers. As a research assistant, you will work with researchers who plan and instruct. Research communication is about compiling and editing material.

Your future workplace You will work at the Department of Media and Information Technology MIT, in our research group that conducts research in human-automation collaboration. We carry out a number of projects in the area, for example RESKILL, F AUTO, UTM CITY, AUTO MON, the Automation Program II. Our research deals with application domains, and is conducted in collaboration with domain experts from each application area. In the research group we have informal meetings, usually every week (even during distance work) to be able to collaborate. The position applies primarily to studies applied to air traffic management, in our collaboration with the Air Navitaion Services of Sweden (LFV). This means that you will work in collaboration with staff at LFV, and to a certain extent placed at LFV (for example at data collection at the air traffic control center).

Your qualifications We are looking for someone who has basic education in Human Factors, or equivalent. If you have knowledge / experience of field studies, simulator studies, eye tracking measurement, qualitative / quantitative analysis, then it is a merit. It is also a merit if you have experience in the air traffic management domain (in applying the previously mentioned knowledge/experience or otherwise); experience in aviation; similar domains. Good knowledge of written and spoken Swedish and English is a requirement.

Form of employment Fulltime, limited time for a period of 4,5 month.

Starting date August 2021, or by agreement.
