Description
Political scientists at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) are looking to
hire a full-time research assistant/associate to start in September 2022. The
position entails data management, replication, and visualization as well as
literature reviews and light text editing. There might be an opportunity for
co-authorships for a qualified candidate.
A successful candidate must have advanced data analysis skills in Stata and R
and experience with data visualization in R. Experience with GIS data work in
R or ArcGis is preferred although not required. The candidate must be self-
motivated, an independent thinker, fluent in English, and have well-developed
writing skills. The position is open to applicants with a master's degree
(but not Ph.D.) in any social science discipline, quantitative data
analysis, or statistics.
This is a full-time position based at NYU's campus in Abu Dhabi. The
appointment will run from September 2022 until August 2023 with a possibility
of extension by one year. Salary is very competitive, and the position comes
with a housing allowance, comprehensive health insurance, and a relocation
