Do you want to do an important contribution, supporting the smart integration
of power electronic converters to the electrical power grids in an efficient
way by performing grid services making use of modern Cloud-based solutions?
The department of Electrical Engineering invites applicants for a 2½ year
Research Assistant to work as a part of the EUDP funded Action Project.
As a research assistant, you will get the opportunity to improve your
knowledge, discuss and design concrete solutions to provide the next
generation of grid support functionalities, enabling the green energy
Responsibilities and qualifications
In specific, as a part DTU Elektro within the EUDP funded Action Project, we
are looking for a Cloud Engineer to work with our electric/electronic
engineering team in order to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain Cloud-
based solutions for a new era of intelligent grid-supporting power electronic
Your primary tasks will be:
Collaborate with electric/electronic engineering team to evaluate and
identify optimal Cloud solutions (API Rest, functions among others).
Modify and improve the existing Azure Cloud system.
Design, develop and deploy modular Cloud-based systems.
Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in
accordance with the project needs.
Interact with clients, providing Cloud support, and making recommendations
based on team needs.
Ensures that software meets or exceed specified standards and end-user
As a formal qualification, you must have a master's degree in engineering or
equivalent within computer science, software engineering or electronic
At least 3 years of experience in the field of Cloud Computing.
Familiarity with power electronic converters operation and control.
Experience with CI/CD systems.
Preference but not mandatory experience utilizing Azure to automate the
deployment of Azure resources.
Relational or not relational databases knowledge.
Troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Principally Python as programming language and JS or .NET as secondary.
Technical expertise in the design, development, coding, testing and
debugging of software.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the
Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon
with the relevant union. The period of employment is 2 1/2 years.
