Research Assistant II in the Department of Urban Planning and Design and
Healthy High Density Cities Lab in the Faculty of Architecture (Ref.:
509021) (to commence on January 1, 2022 for 6 months, with the possibility
of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability for up
to 12 months or more)
Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Urban
Planning, Geography, Public Health, Epidemiology or a related discipline. They
should also possess an excellent command of written and spoken English and
Chinese, with good interpersonal, organisational, communication and time
management skills; and a strong sense of responsibility and commitment. They
should be highly motivated, attentive to details and able to work
independently and collaboratively as well as manage and update work progress.
Familiarity with handling and processing Geographic Information Systems
(GIS) and remote sensing data and software is preferred.
The appointee will work in Healthy Cities research at the Healthy High
Density Cities Lab, HKUrbanLab. The project involves deciphering links between
built environment exposures and health outcomes, and field work and health
data collection within Hong Kong.
