Salary Information Commensurate with experience Department Summary

The Center for Health Policy has three pillars: Research, Education and Community. These pillars are underpinned by health equity, the translation of research into policy and the practical and effective implementation of policies related to health. The Center focuses particularly but not exclusively on three broad areas: Telementoring & Workforce Development, Rural Health and Whole Health.

Position Overview

The Research Assistant ll will contribute significantly to the Center for Health Policy projects and programs and will engage in a variety of activities including, but not limited to data compilation, management and analyses, report manuscript development, curriculum development, training events, telementoring implementation and administration. Key competency for this role would be multi-tasking skills including organization, attention to detail, and prioritization of tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and 1 year experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of scientific research techniques, methods and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively with fellow researchers, staff members, faculty, supervisors and students.
  • Academic writing skills
  • Preferred Qualifications

    Masters Level Degree qualification in Public Health or related field Experience with community engagement Experience working within a team

    Job Duties

    o

    Assist with project administration and community activities, including but not limited to meeting scheduling and email communication with stakeholders

    o

    Participate in community engagement activities, including preparation and coordination of training and outreach events

    o

    Assist in drafting of reports, conference abstracts and journal manuscripts

    o

    Manage data collection and data entry and assist in data analysis

    o

    Assist with strategic communication including but not limited to social media communications and website content maintenance
