Research Assistant I in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 519101) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability).

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Social Work, Public Policy, Sociology, Political Sciences, Geography, Economics or other related disciplines. They should have good quantitative data analysis skills (e.g., advanced regression analysis; cluster analysis; latent class analysis; structural equation modelling) and high proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, Python). The applicants should have demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility and good communication skills in written and spoken English and Chinese. Interests in social policy (e.g., housing policy, migration policy and social protection policy) and poverty alleviation in China are preferred.

The appointee will work for multiple research projects on social policy. He or she will be responsible for conducting literature review, collecting data, analyzing data, drafting manuscript, supervising research helpers and other research-related duties as assigned.
