Research Assistant I/II in the Faculty of Dentistry (Ref.: 516069) (to
commence in September 2022 for one year, with the possibility of renewal
subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree, preferably with relevant
experience in health care research and community services, data management,
and reports drafting. They should have a good command of written and spoken
English and Chinese (particularly fluent Cantonese); good coordination and
problem-solving skills; demonstrated commitment to quality and compliance; the
ability to multitask; and be detail-minded and attentive to details with a
strong sense of responsibility. Preference would be given to those with
proficiency in SPSS or other statistical programs.
The appointee will work with a team of dentists and project assistants on
clinical studies or knowledge exchange projects, mainly in kindergartens, to
facilitate communication, administration, logistics, as well as promoting oral
health in preschool children. He/She will coordinate with project teams and
internal/external collaborators; provide administrative and logistics support
for clinical studies and knowledge exchange projects; assist dentists in
conducting clinical research, collecting and analysing data, and providing
outreach dental care service; draft study reports/publications; and perform
other duties as assigned.
Working off-campus, outside normal office hours and on weekends are required.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an
interview. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Sexual
Conviction Record Check (SCRC) and submit a copy of the letter with the
checking code provided by the SCRC Office for result checking.
