Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 523351) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above preferably in public health, preventive medicine, biostatistics, or a discipline related to biomedical science. They should have a good command of spoken and written of English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin), and a keen interest in epidemiological research and public health. They should be organized, responsible, detail-minded, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team. Experience in epidemiologic or clinical research, outreach activities, data management would be advantages.
The appointees will work on community-based studies of the epidemiology and transmission of respiratory virus infections including COVID-19, influenza and other respiratory viruses. They will recruit participants in outreach centres and conduct regular participant follow-up activities including in- person/telephone interviews, home visits, specimen collection, health education, and perform general administrative and other duties as assigned. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
