Research Assistant I/II in the Community Child Health Unit in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (Ref.: 523189 ) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, medical sciences or a related discipline, with experience in cell culture and molecular biology. They should be organized, self-motivated, able to work independently, responsible, and committed. Good analytical and organization skills are essential. The appointee will carry out routine sample processing; handle inventory record keeping; and provide research support in the laboratory for various large-scale epidemiological studies. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. Specific on-the-job training will be provided for those who plan to pursue postgraduate studies.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
