Working Title Research Assistant for BB&T Moral Foundations of Capitalism
Department Econ, Mgt, Proj Mgt
Salary Range $25.00/hr
Assist the BB&T Distinguished Professor of Capitalism on applied empirical
economics research projects.
Research Assistant will gather data and search information in support of
applied economics research projects. Tasks will involve working with large
datasets, spreadsheets and conducting analysis in computational software
including Stata, R and others.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position
Understanding of current quantitative methods used in data gathering,
cleaning, and preparing for analysis. Competence in spreadsheets, websites,
databases, and computational software including Stata, R and others. Ability
to create summary reports.
Bachelor's degree and one year experience conducting data analysis or one year
masters work in a field related to using data analysis in applied economics
settings; competence in standard computational software packages.
Experience assisting on completed research publications and reports in applied
economics is preferred.
