Research assistant for a clinical study on respiratory diseases in

children (40-50%)

The Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine (ISPM) at the University of Bern performs research in a range of disciplines relevant to public health (www. ispm.unibe.ch). Groups cut across divisions, facilitating an interdisciplinary approach to research in the fields of clinical epidemiology, social and behavioural health, biostatistics, and international and environmental health.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Data entry of medical information in the software REDCap.
  • Contacting patients as well as doctors or nurses.
  • Collecting clinical data from clinics.
  • Qualifications and skills:

  • You are interested in the health of children and young adults.
  • You are currently a student in training in the (para-) medical field (e.g. psychology, medicine, health sciences or equivalent)
  • You have an efficient, precise, and well-organised way of working.
  • You enjoy working in a team and independently.
  • Initial experience in working with databases is an advantage, but not required.
  • You have a good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • You are fluent in German and have a good command of English.
