Research Assistant (Fixed Term)
The Biffi Laboratory at the CRUK Cambridge Institute (part of the University
of Cambridge) is seeking a motivated and dedicated Research Assistant to join
a team that focuses on studying the tumour microenvironment of pancreatic
cancer. The role will support a team that uses mouse and organoid models to
understand and genetically and pharmacologically target cancer/fibroblast
interactions in pancreatic cancer.
The CRUK Cambridge Institute provides cutting-edge scientific infrastructure
and expertise. The successful candidate will have access to our world class
core facilities and laboratory resources, while working with novel models in
order to find new therapeutic strategies for pancreatic cancer.
The successful candidate will mainly provide research support to other group
members in relation to our lab mouse work. Therefore, willingness to work with
mouse models most of the time is required and previous experience with animal
work is highly appreciated. The successful candidate should be excited about
the overall research of the Laboratory, highly collaborative, possess good
communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a diverse
and inclusive team. The successful candidate should be happy to mainly play a
support role for other members' research, rather than drive their own

well as practical laboratory experience in tissue culture and molecular

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first
instance. However, candidates that are willing to fill in the position for
longer are welcome and desirable.
