Research Assistant (Fixed Term)

Applications are invited for a Research Assistant position within the Barker/Williams-Gray lab. The successful candidate will provide support for teaching and research activity in order to ensure the smooth running of our laboratory, which focuses on better understanding the heterogeneity of Parkinson's and Huntington's diseases, and developing new therapies for these conditions. The laboratory work will include, but is not limited to, cataloguing and processing of patient biosamples, assisting with a variety of genetic, metabolic and immunological assays, and providing general laboratory support.

The role holder will need a degree in a relevant subject or be qualified through appropriate research experience. Please see the 'Further Particulars' document for a full list of requirements for this role.

The post-holder will need excellent organisational skills, together with research experience.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance.
